Al, I'm sorry. My limited mq4 knowledge is not sufficient to program what you ask for. Changing color is the easiest part. May be somebody on the thread can help. Anybody?

DislikedThe four rules were valid and price was way above the upper band. R3 was there, but itīs not the Berlin wall. It can be breached. It is a consideration. It should always be, but not a determining factor.Ignored
DislikedYes. Favorite came up with this hedging strategy a couple of days ago. The only problem it has in my view is if the long is triggered and price reverses in the original direction, you will not profit from your short. It is common to have repeated spikes before the trade moves in your favor, so this situation can happen. I still like it better than a normal stop loss where your money is gone for good if its triggered.
My favorite is still recovery, but I acknowledge it is not a strategy that fits everyoneīs psyche.Ignored
DislikedYes, you are right ...... but ..... there is more to it.
Because the scenario you described can happen and will happen,
we need to think about it and make the best out of it.
There is more than one possible "solution" to this scenario,
but one thing is for sure: we will make profit out of it regardless
how we treat it.
How do I know that we will always make profit ?
Because I have watched charts for years and if you scoll through historical
charts you will never ever find a chart where price will not move far enough to give us profit...Ignored

DislikedOk, nitrate73,
Letīs put your divergence theory to the test. Here is the S&P rising, while the TMA Slope has been declining. If divergence is correct, this Index should drop soon. Certainly before the TMA Slope begins to rise again.Ignored
DislikedHi Al,
On recovery do you use the 100 pip rule with gold as the adr is much bigger than most of the fx pairs?
Cheers,
Eamonn.Ignored
DislikedAl,
I think we agree that the lock-unlock thing has big advantages in some scenarios but in other scenarios your Recovery method is better.
Nobody will sit and analyze historical charts for months in order to find out which method has an edge over the other.
All I can say is that I prefer the lock-unlock method because I have seen ( and I am sure you too ) moves of 500 Pips up to 1000 Pips before
market finally would give your Recovery trade a breakeven.
With the lock-unlock method, the market can move 2000 Pips against my initial position...Ignored
