Dislikedmy history doesn't go that far back, my 200 SMA looks fine though.Ignored
DislikedYes, Oanda MT4 charting does that sometimes, better use a platform with more history barsIgnored
Dislikedthe SMA (simple moving average) is independant of candles more then 200 if it is the 200 SMA.
Simple moving average starts after 200 candles are known and is only calculated over these 200 candles.
Thats why my SMA doesn't start where chart starts.
The EMA (exponential moving average) works differently and averages over all available data where later data counts more.
So we should have the same 200 SMA even if you make your charts at another broker.
My 200 SMA settings are that it calculates over the close.
Maybe check SMA indicator settings?Ignored
DislikedThese are two 200SMA from two different brokers, notice the huge discrepancy for almost 400 pips.

I have a live Oanda acc but my advice, don't use its MT4 for charting.Ignored

I tried it but it doesn't really matter if its calculated over HLC/3 or only close.
If i use 200 EMA it ends up a tiny bit lower.
i don't believe that broker data is 400 pips different.
so the only thing i can think of atm is that either broker has missing data (oanda or fxcm).
the MT calculations over the candles are exactly the same.
this is my SMA calculated and all available data that oanda has.
Dislikedyour first chart is of FXCM and your second chart is of VG.
the diffence is becouse of the missing candles of the VG broker.Ignored

DislikedOf course this may have already been posted but when the Swissy bounces at about .9240 or thereabouts, it may reach this confluence of Fib expansion, Fib retracement and previous support/resistance levels. Make more sense of it if you will.
