I learned something the hard way....don't put an EA on a live account at your office and think you can manage it at home.....the only "managing" is closing a trade.

DislikedNothing really to learn, take profit and stop loss. Pretty much random entry like most ea's. Unless, of course your looking back at the market, than it looks as easy as pie!!! Unfortunately, you will learn after a few years that it can be difficult to control randomness.Ignored
DislikedI am trying to understand more of the EA code since I did program a lot of EAs so far and I was wondering, where and how do you calculate the angle of the crossover to be what LG classified as a strong crossover?
I can't seam to find that calculation... all I find is the confirmation of a crossover, no matter how strong or weak it is.Ignored
DislikedThe way it is currently programmed, the EA looks at the last bar of the 200 MA compared to the previous bar. It is not a case of whether the price is above or below the average. See how the 200 MA was basically flat when the trade took place? It probably dipped down temporarily (again).
BTW I'm not sticking up for the EA, just I had a quick look at the code to see what it does before deciding whether to test the EA or not. I'd probably make a couple of changes before using it, particularly with regard to the long term average.Ignored
DislikedHi all,
I have been testing Hanover with Lawgirl rules for few days now and results are promising (will post them later).
I take Hanover to look at H1 and then 3/8 cross on M15 for the pair with TP 40 and SL being cross in opposite direction.
I was wondering if we can improve this EA combination by doing the following:
1) Avoid trading 15 min before and after a major news event for the pair e.g. if trading EU then wait 15 mins before and after news during London session and also during US session to avoid erratic PA.
2) Take the trade...Ignored

Can I set time for each currency pair? I did it through the code and it applied to everything. What I am looking for is say AUDUSD only trades during Asian and US session and not London but AUDJPY only trades during Asian session. So if I open up all these charts and place the EA then it takes the time set on the EA not for each currency. Pls help.
How do I use the CBI module? Shud it be saved in experts folder or indicator folder. Shud I just place it on my existing charts (with the EA) and let everything remain...Ignored
