I mean, platforms outside these junky *option*.com sites. I want to completely manufacture the options I want, say from 1 day expiry or even less, to be able to choose my own barriers and have very good trigger mechanisms. My preferred class is the touchies (whatever goes : One Touch/No Touch, Double No Touch/Double One Touch, Double Touch/No Double Touch etc).
SaxoBank and BetOnMarkets are also out of consideration for the moment (SaxoBank because options have bolted barriers, to be chosen from the panel, and BetOnMarkets because you can't sell the options before expiry plus that my favorite subclass has been removed long time ago).
What I am thinking about are platforms that don't quite appear in the media, mostly because they are institutional:
- XTB (retail, RFQ, but no touchies)
- vCAPfx (so cool and so unavailable...)
- SuperDerivatives' SDX
- GFI Fenics Exotics (so cool and so unavailable...)
- FXCM DealX (did they launch DealX in the end or not?),
- Barclay's BARX
- OneFour
- DigitalVega Medusa (no info about)
- SurfaceExchange (no info about)
- Credit Suisse' Merlin
- CitiFX Pro (no info about)
- RBS Marketplace
- Fx Bridge Technologies ProTrader (perhaps in a far future, when will have touchies)
Now I couldn't possibly have money for 95% of them. I would like a 2K or even 5K account in the not too far future with a platform that's solid (perhaps a multibank SEF, if possible) and has the facilities that I require. I am looking at Credit Suisse' Merlin because presentation looks as if it's retailish. It even has iPhone app, so I thought it should be retailish. But I don't know anything about minimum deposit.
Basically I look for a platform that allows complete customization, is RFQ, has a lot of touchies and advanced trigger criterias for closing the trades. Not necessarily an initial buy/sell functionality if the subclasses cover all the possible events.
So, any info about Merlin at least?
