DislikedSorry meant correlation was that USD/JPY was up aswell. by dividing pair A by pair B you get pair C. Sometimes JPY rallies while EUR/USD stays pretty much flat, then later JPY stays flat while EUR/USD rallies. Later allowing dollar to weaken while making ranging moves.Ignored
DislikedBut if your intersted in patterns on forex. Normally gold and ozzie and kiwi make the move first, followed by yen, then crosses and the majors normally are manipulated last. Thats if you beleive some invisible hand is controlling the markets.Ignored

DislikedWe all know markets can't turn round fast large players have many positons to close. So its easier to move one or two markets at a time while other markets are just randomly swinging, then move onto the next. That is the normal order you see in markets- I guess big players all stick together and offload to the retail.Ignored
DislikedBankers like to use currencies like ozzie and gold to push to news highs and scare shorts in all the markets. Which is why ozzie is a dangerous beast to short. As when and how thats knowing session timings and the fixes. And month end positioning which is where you see this rollover from one market to the next. churn and burn. But to be honset its a lot of hard work- probably easier just to stick to charts rather than understanding the reasons for the moves.Ignored
DislikedYields on the 10 yr are dropping like a rock which means money flowing out of risky assets and into bonds, right? If that's the case, why is EURUSD just chopping around this level. If people were dumping their Euros to buy bonds, wouldn't we see a swift move down?Ignored
DislikedThanks for the info fish. It's important to learn what pairs are leading and lagging.
Correlation can be confusing so here is something that helped me out with cross currency strength/weakness.
