DislikedAs an aside I read something recently about oil not being a fossil fuel but abiotic - in other words it is 'renewable'. Just another conspiracy theory but you never know.

Dislikedits about price. if they can get it here in the pipeline for 20$? a barrel. it dont matter what those sandy beaches do. those kings are in trouble if the price falls too much. it dont matter what Exxon does. for 50 years the u.s. sold oil leases and the oil companies sat on them w/o drilling. that has changed. you dont drill. you lose the lease. now we have others willing to do it. and exxon cant do a thing about it.
i dont care what kawait does. we got oil. and like it or not.. they are retrieving it.. and exxon may be in that too..Ignored
Dislikedwhats the big deal? any oil will burn. fuel can be made out of most organics. the cost is the challenge.Ignored
DislikedThink about it for a minute - All the oil we have been using for the last 100 years was made from the decomposing corpses of dinosaurs - give me a break.Ignored
DislikedDisagree Gator but because of the financial and technical part of the argument not for the rest.
Is not about price is about cost.
In simple words, Price is what "you" pay for a barrel , Cost is what the bastards pay, the difference is where the business is.
So nobody is denying US oil production and investment but like in any other business, money and profit rules. Is a no brainer where you will squeeze the profit first (where cost is less and the quality is the best and the profit margin is larger) and given that oil is a "limited"...Ignored
DislikedI know - it's like saying the earth is more than 6000 yrs old - pull the other one , do they think we were born yesterday?Ignored

Dislikedunfortunately - for the Japanese , that there moon already has a US flag on itIgnored
DislikedSure they are making money. They always had, My points were:
1. You will not see the US interested in world oil reducing a inch as long as the cost of producing oil in some parts of the world guarantee the bastards making a killer when they can.
2. The US has always been a major producer of oil (either 1st, 2nd or 3rd in the last 100 years). The noise of oil independence and etc is just post recession noise in my books...nothing has changed and nothing will change in the foreseeable future because the bastards rule the industry ...the rest...Ignored
