DislikedSuch numbers are generally only applicable to markets which have unambiguous "ownership" side, such as equities. They are less applicable to markets like a currency rate, which also has an equivalently valid (if not universally quoted) inverse, or even futures, which have equal long and short positions by definition.
That said, an important metric for currencies is the relative frequency of "fat tail" moves of 4+ "sigma" as defined by implied volatility or by normal curve fits.Ignored

DislikedYeah, things are okay. Except the weather. This southwest drought is beyond being funny. The damage to the cattle infrastructure (pasture damage, calf/feeder herd sell offs) is far beyond what the public can imagine.
In spare time, if you want to see some really sad and scary numbers, take a glance at the number of head of cattle going to auction v. last year. In many areas, over three times. When the boxed beef runs out, it could get expensive.Ignored
Dislikedhow are them cattle boys holden up, what % is done on Globex now. have any idea?Ignored
DislikedIf you mean the paper flow, pit v Globex, I don't know, but I think the real hedging and firm hand spec positions on both sides is (and probably always will be) done in the pit. No computer program in the world is as good at iceberging the real order as a human. To say nothing of how much "audible" play calls enter into a real hedge order.Ignored
