DislikedOk, the world is safe for now.
So far as I am concerned, Nico has done his thing at The Appropriate Hour.
Whether Said Appropriate Hour is correct is another matter; all I can do is make sure the damn thing does what it is supposed to do when it is supposed to do it.
All this happened at 2.00 AM London time, so I leave the rest of you to work out what your RangeCalculationHour should be from this.
Now, for the rest of the bot's performance, let us see what tomorrow brings. I am off to bed.
Cheers all, or the couple of you daft enough to still...Ignored
DislikedSteve,
The robot just hit SL-50.. but it didn't open another sell pending order at the same price.Ignored
DislikedAgreed though some thought might need to be given to the situation where the spread between Hi & Lo is so close to 50 as it was todayIgnored
1) is necessary because if 2) kicked in because the spread widened, Nico would then see that conditions are correct for sending pendings, which it would then cancel.......... and your history tab would fill with canceled trades until the platform generated a trade context busy error and sut up shop.
If there is sufficient demand, I will code this.
DislikedWe could have a maximum spread filter that would:
- prevent the pendings being placed if the spread is too wide
- make Nico delete pending trades already in place if the spread widens beyond an acceptable level

DislikedThe spread I was referencing was between Hi & Lo not Bid & Ask.
I had assumed that it did not set the pending when it hit SL because it was already trading above the Hi where the new pending would have been placed.
I note Steve that you say your platform has now placed the new pendings and I suspect has elected on the Buy side whereas mine did/has not even though it retraced 15 pips from the SL point.
Any ideas why?

Disliked7. Say you get triggered long and stopped out, enter another buy order at top of range. If you get stopped again [in either direction], leave it until the next day. You are only allowed to get stopped twice in one day, then cancel any remaining orders.Ignored
