Trading for the purpose of 'being financially free' or to turn $1000 to $1000000 are not goals you want to start out with in my opinion. You need to set small goals to reach and set bigger goals as you are more successful.
Since I am bored and I'm overdue for a pc gaming rig, I want to start a journal to grow$400 to buy an updated gaming rig in the next 6 months.
I plan to buy one of these:
http://www.ibuypower.com/Store/AMD_P...3_Configurator
with custom add-ons of course. So the whole thing probably gonna cost me about $800.
That means i'm trying to double up in the next 6 months. To some of you that's an easy snap of the finger, but that's not hte point of this journal. It doesn't matter how much money you made in the account if all goes down the drain later on in losses. It's about withdrawing your profits and actually using it for something. I just want to share how trading can help pay for the little things in life that you always want.
Update 1:
I put up a $1800 additional buy-in on 3/15/11 after series of losses due to emotional hiccups. I was able to turn additional profits from that buy in.
Update 2:
Withdrew $200 profits on 4/1/11
Update 3:
Deposit $1000 on 5/2/11 to capitalize on shorting EURUSD
Plan
I will post daily p/l and monthly statements as they come. And hopefully at then end able to withdraw $800. I'll also post daily pics of trades if I'm not too lazy.
let's get it on...
Results:
Feb $214,$214 Febstatement
Mar $461,$675 Marstatement
