DislikedAm I correct in assuming you enter at the close of the bar once the break is confirmed? For example, on my data we had at 1-2-3 earlier today, point 2 being at 50.96. However, the bar that closed below closed at 50.88. Clearly on this occasion it would have been beneficial to enter at 50.95 but this is hindsight and we could not have known at that time that price would close below point 2. {image}Ignored
Disliked{quote} where your point 2 is we only look at closing price. So if closing price at point 2 is 96 we enter at 95Ignored
DislikedSorry, me again! The only issue I have is that entering on a break of point 2 is fine if we then do get a close of the next bar below it also. If we do not, and price then shoots up and we get stopped out, it will look as though there was no entry signalled at that point. Will this not effect backtesting results as there are bound to be instances of this?Ignored
