DislikedI think I have the incorrect grid-continuation lot size thingy sorted out.
Not certain - tracking down these tiny logic flaws can be like transporting water in a sieve.
Fix in post 1. If it really is a fix.

DislikedSteve....did the same thing.....loaded the limit trades and then just started deleting them...Only journal error I'm getting is"Trade context is busy " while it is deleting the trades and some while loading
Steve just got an error 4051 invalid function parameter value after rebooting the platform and it loaded and deleted the trades again....

DislikedI just did an experiment and set mgt running with SendTradeHour and PendingDeletionHour both the same. mgt dutifully sent the pendings, then equally dutifully deleted them.
Have you got yours set to the same times as well?

DislikedBack to the coffee....Hope this helps....My normal Start of D1 candle is 1700,my time....Upped it to 2000 to get the bot to send trades later on in the evening....This is the way it ended up when we quit

DislikedGot it. Basic logic error.
In English, I had told the bot to delete all pendings if the local time was equal or greater than PendingDeletionHour. This did not cause me a problem because my PendingDeletionHour is 23, so the time can never be greater.
The fix is in post 1 and is essential for anybody not using 23 as their PendingDeletionHour setting.

DislikedEvery chance it will if you run it without any form of manual intervention. This is not an EA for idiots.

DislikedGood Morning Steve,
Mac's grid trader is now running like a charm on one of my brokers.....The other(with my live acc's) is pitching a fit about to many open and pending orders.....Is there a workaround I can use to find out how many is to many orders or should I just give it up....

DislikedTo explore the possibility of additional trading opportunities based on a weekly perspective vs. a daily perspective.
Could have a daily thingy ea and a weekly thingy ea.Ignored
DislikedHi Steve,
I'm still trying to figure out a way to run Macman's grid trader on my live acc broker.....Could it be possible to open the limit orders based on PA and not all at once....Open four and when an order is filled open another in that direction.....Just food for thought.

DislikedHi Macman....
I posted this back on Post #30 and I have since tried to get a call through to my live acc broker to find out how many open and pending trades they will allow per pair....Nothing back yet so I don't know how many they will allow.....Will sending 2or3 in both directions at open of D1 candle and let PA trigger the next ones hurt.....This will cut down the number of open and pending trades at least at the start without changing your strategy

DislikedThis should be clearly available information from the broker's website & is one of the criteria I look at when deciding which broker to use for a particular strategy.
To cut down on trades, you could send 4x pending buys & 4x pending sells per pair. It is not often that the market will move further than this. I personally would change broker.
