Hey Everyone,
I wanted to start this Journal to keep track of my thoughts as the market develops each day.
I'm mostly self-taught as a trader. I never had a direct mentor, but the people how have influenced my trading the most over the last few years have been
1. Chris Lori -- Chris is the man!
2. James16 and his crew -- I love pin bars...
3. Jack Crooks from Black Swan Capital -- I love economics and his writing have helped me tremendously.
So....I'm basically a pure price action kind of guy. I use Fibs, Horizontal S/R, and other price action analysis to identify High Probability trade setups on higher timeframes, and then I enter on the M15.
I usually aim for at least 30 pips on a trade, and usually not too much more than 80-100 [although I would love to build my discipline to be able to do that].
My formal university background was in English Studies, and I taught high school English for several years, so I am a fool for the written word. I've read countless books in my lifetime. Favorite trading books---1. Market Wizards and 2. Trade Your Way To Financial Success by Van Tharp.
To the trading...
There aren't really any setups I'm loving at the moment, so I'll start out by showing you a trade today that I took that actually didn't work out.

Two pin bars in a row at the 62% Fib of the previous swing on the 1 Hour Chart. That is a money-making setup. Won't work every time, though. I got stopped out on this one. Still ended the day positive though. Took a few other trades, this pound was a good one:

I'll post a Live Trade Setup as soon as I see something that looks interesting. Just waiting at the moment.
