Just to update my account. I am usually in front of my laptop most of the time and that's why you don't usually see me putting a SL.
So far it is going well. Ichimoku works well in most of the time formats from 1 min to weekly etc. You should still look at the longer time formats even if you trade short times.
I was not clear about what would happen after weekly or monthly in Ichimoku. I learned from Elder's book that you can somehow forecast the trend by using some indicators such as RSI, or MACD. ADX works well with Ichimoku.
I totally trust Ichimoku but for my peace of mind of trend forecasting in longer time frames (weekly and monthly), I am using MACD, RSI, and ADX but I am relying on Ichimoku. Being able to see where trend goes is beautiful but no indicators are perfect. As others said before the indicators indicate the trend but they don't dictate. Risk is yours to take.
I am open to questions, comments, and correction. I still consider myself a student of Ichimoku. I am thankful the creator of Ichimoku.
Good trading everyone.
