I think just possibly you may need to re-evaluate your starting point premise, which seems to assume there is such a thing as a permanently profitable robot - correct me if I am wrong here.
We know no such thing exists - Scooby (http://www.forexfactory.com/member.php?u=108740) told us that even the largest banks with all their (our) wealth can't produce a prefect robot, so as low life retail traders our attempts to create a perfect robot are doomed. This is the starting point we need to adopt, as it is the only known fact...Ignored
From my experience/knowledge then hedge funds thend to make between 0.25% - 0.30% per day on average. Some retail traders may think this is a small amount. But its not when they are using $25M worth of tradeable assets.
