DislikedI already feel like my charts are too cluttered by lines. I like playing with trendlines and Fibs sometimes, but I rarely leave them on the screen. And I really hate the stepwise look of the MTF MAs, and the whole thing just looks like a bloody mess to me. I suppose I could get used to it (and if I was just working on my laptop, I might go that way). I have a 27 inch monitor that's basically a devoted MT4 screen. My full setup looks like the attached. I keep the M1 under the M5 and the Daily under the H4.Ignored
For me, the charts can look however, I don't really care.
The information on them is more important and I am finding this very useful, and trying to learn how to handle price action like yesterdays, and I learned a couple of valuable lessons in not paying enough attention to HTF MAs!
Watching the price on lower TF and how it reacts to an MTF is teaching me a lot about reading price action.
Without the MTFs there are too many "mysteries", and trying to look at more than one window is harder, in my opinion, than one chart that looks a little busy. It's hard enough keeping your eye the ball, and that's one ball, not three or four!
For example the best trade yesterday was from the high in your chart, and it was the bounce of the H1 35, a 90 pip winner, but that is not in your analysis (not that I took it, that was where I didn't pay attention to it and it cost me 14 pips!). If you had MTFs, you would have seen it clear as day.
Please don't think that I am lecturing (I am far from an expert in the field) or arguing about it, I am just discussing it because I think it is helping me and may help others.
