DislikedRegarding recent changes by CFTC. FXDD has made some "backroom adjustments so that traders are not affected by FIFO or anti-hedging and use of ea. Where there's a will there's a way.
From chat with Alex FXDD:
[i]Alex S.: According to the FIFO rule, all open trades on a specific pair must be treated as a single position. Report Viewer, which is FXDD Backoffice follows a concept of weighted average. It displays a single value that is meant to typify a list of values that are within the same category (same currency pair).
Alex S.: So, your MetaTrader,...Ignored
Dislikedmql5 uses the opposite of the the opened position to close the current position. I know FXDD has already released their MT5 I tested some of my experts on it and got different results from those of metaquotes MT5 I never really checked why but I assumed it was my FXDD data not accurate let me check why before I say anything further to incriminate myselfIgnored
DislikedLike I said, on MQL5 to close a position u open the opposite of the position u wish to close. So I couldn't think of a way FXDD could by pass that without changing the language itself. MQL5 is deal based so hedging just won't work, or rather the method of opening opposite positions. I consulted my statements and they have proven me rightIgnored

Dislikedmy settings, especially the iTrailingStop. Try as I might, I'm having a hard time getting my mind around how it works.
I'm using a single trade setup (TP 1=1,000, TP 2=0, TP 3=0)
I'm taking the TP 1 to 1,000 so that it's completely out of play (ie, I'm pretty sure it won't get hit)
useTrailing=True
iTrailingStop (gets Optimized from 0 to 100)
iTrailingStopOffset_Pos3=-10 (tested it from -10 to +10 - didn't seem to makIgnored

Do you have an Idea what trailing stop means?
You know, it's like a monkey playing pilot in cockpit of the Boeing 747.
Download EA and Set files and use default settings, cause you obviously don't
have a clue what it's going on and how it's working..
P.S
LONGS get triggered here (anybody else?)Ignored

I know what a trailing stop does, but I just don't see how the value of iTrailingStop is affecting my trade.

Disliked'Lo all - glad to see all the usual suspects are still here
I've searched the forum, but couldn't find any discussion regarding my question - please pardon me if this has been discussed, I have a bit of catching up to do...

DislikedHi Franko
There is no TSL on order #1 or order #3, it is only used for order #2.
Order #1 goes to TP1 or SL
Order #2 uses a TSL of the same value as TP1 so that, if TP1 is reached the
second order cannot lose money, it becomes a "free trade".
Order #3 stoploss is moved to a positive value when TP1 is reached locking
in a small profit regardless of the subsequent price action.
Hope this helps...

DislikedThanks Geoff - I've gotten Order #1 to trail somehow with stunning results (see the tester graphic above), but I might be trying to fit a square peg into a round hole by asking it to do something it's not designed to do.
I haven't kept up with the discussion like I should, but I take it everybody is devoting all of their development & testing time to the Advanced setup.
I know you've heard it many times, but you've changed my life forever by sharing your EA with us here - thank you.
See you on the advanced side!!

DislikedYou could open a chat online and get the straight talk right from the horse's mouth about what FXDD, mlq5, etc. can and cannot do. Maybe they know something or have something planned that we don't know about.
