I will have a look at this today, it will be a useful feature for all versions!
Many thanks to RR, you make it sound so easy!Ignored
DislikedHI Geoff,
apologies for the idiot proof question but here goes... lol
have used v3 this week on Alpari Uk demo and the trail stop doesnt appear to kick in on either the chart or the SL price in the terminal window. is it hidden from the broker in any way or should i see the price box and the Sl line (on the chart) move in sync??/
have redownloaded after the first time it did it but its still doing it....
again apologies for the idiotic question
cheers

ps. +20 1st part and +26 2nd part (manually inputed trail)Ignored
DislikedI never consider questions idiotic but my answers.... well?
The trailing stoploss is not hidden so, you are correct, it should show.
I assume you mean that you have set the 1st order TP to 20 and the second order TP to 26 but you did not say what you have set the trailing stoploss to.
I would normally set it to the same value as the first TP so that the 2nd order is totally protected and can be allowed to run.
In this case you can set the 2nd order TP to a very high value and let the trailing stop exit the 2nd order for...Ignored
DislikedHI geoff,
thanks for the quick response, i have attached a screen shot of my inputs to make it easier. they are basically the default ones.

DislikedIn that case the trailing stoploss should have moved up to break-even as soon as the first order closed at +20 pips.
I have used my trailing stoploss routine on any number of EA's and have never known it not to work, so I'm afraid I am at a loss to explain it.
Please, I would appreciate your followup after the next trade if you don't mind!Ignored
DislikedHi Geoff,
first i would like to thank you for sharing (what looks like) a profitable system.
i am using version 4 with the default settings but i don't seem to get as good results as your back test. maybe it has to do with offset and start time. can you give us your best setup?
right now i am running a optimization of the TSL from 15 to 30 pips. will post the results when i have them (using default times and 165 SL).
i hope that soon i can pay you back by giving the forum another EA so that we can optimize it. it's trix based on 4h and seems...Ignored
DislikedHi again Geoff,
i see that the best result with smaller drawdown is 19 pips.
that is, if i remember correctly the original value. that means you already did this and i am wasting my time?
was going to do the same for SL too. shouldn't i?Ignored
Dislikedthanks. (i remember reading that post where the poster stated that dukascopy results were not so good).
so, when do we go live with it? LOL
