Sorry for what is probably a very stupid question but how do I import the tick data into Metatrader to be used for testing an EA?Ignored

DislikedI know this is an old thread but I figured the question is best asked here rather than a new one. I followed the instructions here:

I used DukasCopier to download ticks and covert to CSV. Then I used jforex2fxt to convert CSV to HST and FXT files.
But this is the chart after I closed down and moved HST files to history folder. This doesn't look right.

Does this seem ok to everyone else?Ignored
DislikedIf you used Dukascopier to download your tick data then you need to use the Dukascopy2FXT script to do the converting to HST and FXT files. Likewise if you used Dukascopy's Jforex platform to download the data then you use the Jforex script to do the converting. Could be your problem.

DislikedHi,
I downloaded EURUSD ticks data from Dukascopy using JForex platform.
The resulting csv file was copied to experts/ file of the MT4 platform.
Tried to use JForex2FXT script to do the conversion, but get the error message "cannot open file".
I read in Birt's EA review that this may be due to decimal separator being a comma rather than a dot. The remedy was supposed to change the locale to "English locale" by going to Control panel >Language and Region.
But my locale is English, why is the csv file I downloaded has a comma decimal...Ignored
