Hello,
I am looking for advice on more flexible software that I could learn to customize without taking an in depth course on programming. I am familiar with some very basic programming language but it is very limited and I really do not want to study for years learning. I may rely on a friend if need be here.
I'm new to trading Forex and have been using Fxsolutions GTS/Accucharts- Which are great for the following:
Relatively easy to learn and easy to manipulate the charts with multiple monitor support. Easy setup of multiple time frame tabbing support, Great drawing tools from my experience -although being a (EDA) Electronic Design Automation cad user, I designed printed circuit boards, I could use some more dwg aids/tools as a secondary concern. Say a quick measuring tool to measure time or pips between two points would be nice. Accucharts are great graphically in most areas with minor concerns in major areas. Mostly the trail stop feature is a prime example of things I want to customize. I would like software that could have a trail stop customizable to decrease after say a specified number of pips...say from 50 to 10 after setting some perimeters. this along with an ability to change things like the number of ticks past 100 and things like this. I really would appreciate any advice where software platforms are concerned. I looked at MT briefly and really can't compare yet, it was very brief but I didn't care for the lack of Multi monitor support? I placed a couple quick trades with MT and I'm fairly sure I could learn this software if it is in fact what I should be using? I guess I could get used to single mon app if need be. I guess I'm leaning that way if there is no other option but I'd like to learn as few programs as possible and get down to business- first wanted to fish for advice. I'm new to trading as stated, I am thinking I need software I can use effectively now and grow with. I can usually figure out complicated software as long as it is user friendly once set the way I want it.
I like Fxsolutions graphical interface although I can see it may have limitations that will force me to move on in the future and I want to move in the correct direction if this is the case- and as soon as possible. Theres no sense using a platform if I will eventually move to another.
Please let me know if you have already been down this road and can maybe save me some gas! Sorry for the long wind and your help is invaluable to me.
Best Regards,
Mike
