HI People,
I'm a MT4 nubie and have been able to code a EA with 1 small problem I can't seem to track down.
I have coded a entry based on the current bar being < or > the previous bars low/high (depending if its a long or short trade). The previous bar being the confirmation of a break of a resistence level and the current bar being the entry if it cotinues in the same direction.
My problem is that the only losses I have occured since trading it live are when the current bar has moved just a single pip in my entry direction then turns on me like a wild dog.
As the system has been profitable I'd like to see if I added a pip distance value from the previous bars high/low for my entry, if that could help my returns.
Some thing like (short position): previous bar low > current bar by 5 pips.
I might be looking at it the wrong way but if someone could help with a simple code to add, a link to a previous thread or even a old EA that used a similar pip distance concept it would be appreciated.
Even if no one can help thanks for posts past as they have helped more that I could say.
