DislikedI had a profitable day yesterday. For someone with experience with this system it could have been great.
Here is a short entry on the USDJPY today about an hour before the London session open. It looks a little risky sitting right on top of S1, but it did break through later, so it may work out. We will see.
I'm attaching a "MTF_MACD_inColor" indicator I'm using that makes it easier to see when the MACD histogram is above or below the zero line. It's the same as the standard one except it colors the histo bars as they appear above or below....Ignored
DislikedHi Al,
I just spotted your new thread...it looks VERY promising. BTW, anytime you see Billbss finding success with a system, ya just KNOW it'll be worthwhile!

DislikedRules:
The rules are as follows:
The only time you can trade when the ADX is under 20 is if it has moved 3 points off it's lowIgnored
DislikedSorry if this has been answered before, but I don't understand what you mean by "3 points off its low". Please elaborate and thanks.Ignored
Dislikedhi acartwright....just wondering for instance, say there's a bullish crossover (+dmi>-dmi and +dmi>20), macd also above signal. and adx fell initially say from 31 to 29 but then later at end of next bar, it jumps up to 30....do we still take the long trade (even if adx is trading in the highs of 20s or in the region of 30s)? tks.Ignored
DislikedHi sholmes,
Yes that would be a trade as adx has risen.
You have to be careful with these trades as the adx has a finite way to travel.
In theory adx travelling from a lower level has a "potential" to travel further.
Hope that helps.Ignored
Dislikedyes acartwright....understood what you mean. and tks very much again.Ignored
DislikedI used my platform's assisted programming to write a program to illustrate and follow the rules by your system. I'm not a programmer but if there is a programmer there that can use this or possibly write a an ea for it then I hope this should help. I have also backtested this system over the last 3 months and it came with a profit where setting this on a 40 pip stop loss MAX and exit on MACD crossing. with a 1% of capital management on lot size.
The script below is only for long's but I guess this could also be done for SHORT's
The system I...Ignored
