In a discretionary trading session, emotions play on gut interpretation of a chart. I use an event-norm approach to this gut-emotion cycle --
- A person has an emotional makeup they usually carry around --
....1.one standard quadrant in the market emotion cycle
....2.key, anchoring events that oppose the one quadrant so that one differs in response from the usual mec
....3.diagonal opposites that saturate the positive (or negative) with interaction with another and flip to the other diagonal as a negative (or positive). This is a special case to the individual's profile.
Anybody has the x axis as the norm for positive (high) and negative (low), and the y axis, same for 'have' (left) and 'not have' (right). The diagonals are the use lines.
Example: Capitulation captures self within object, just as anxiety with hope and ecstacy with depression each do.
Emotions are inner representation about outer on the y axis and outer representation about inner on the x axis, so that anyone can balance a more-slight negative (especially given an irregular one standard quadrant) with another's x with y axis through initiating a diagonal.
....4.compensating emotion pathways on the mec when new activities arise, so that one's standard quadrant is reinforced
....5.level of baseline volatility -- given this and to retain current and avoid a higher one being set, overwhelm may be accepted as normal in a gut/emotion profile - study Test: ontogeny(4 origin and the development of an organism) vs. philogeny(3 evolutionary relatedness among groups of organisms ), 1 causation ( relationship between the variables is non-spurious (there is not a third variable causing the effect), the temporal order is in line (cause before effect), and the study is longitudinal (2 repeated observations of the same variables over long periods of time)) vs. adaptation ( 5 a trait with a current functional role in the life history of an organism that is maintained and evolved by means of natural selection.) Reason TP,SL,BE. Raise BE, cut SL, and extend TP.
pattern: complex ( regular polygons; grid; trend -- a curve (fibo); a logr(fractal), midline(whole); other )
speed: dots ( random(candles), volatile (high-volatility candles area, as in news/session; condensed, smaller-candles shape; single, big run; sharp shapes; very low volume, price range) fractal, fibo or whole(half(compro), third(photog.), fourth(00's) of copies reversed, opposite, flipped )
area: Useful -- THINK in Gann Fans (momentum) and midline grids (range), to read ahead and capture area. in particular: Series: Sharp (@a 'perfect') or exaggerated shapes to anchor from / copy from/to, subtly-changing pattern copies, and rate.angles of lines/rays. TL utility: hi touch (pivot), mid cut(minor pivot, aligns within area),lo mid- (within or without area, aligning or no reaction). rate, angle, copy/rate : TL/angle - a positivity ratio of 3-to-1.....three positive emotions to counteract one negative emotion. Thus, risk:reward, win:lose, etc.
If fails, then range: I made consistent profit at high percentages every time period
I made an extreme amount with a special method, then stopped; churned, so made a little over a lot of time with a lot of trades
I made a lot then lost it all, so now I'm even; every single trade I make is wrong
anger -- "a feeling of great annoyance or antagonism as the result of some real or supposed " 6
how much is enough?
as much or as little as I can get -- as long as I get
I mean, what the h am I here for?

EMOTIONS
-- direction of energy for gut-interpretation path.
EMOTION -- POSITIVE VS. NEGATIVE
.three positive emotions to counteract one negative emotion. Thus, risk:reward, win:lose, etc.
risk:reward emotions --
greed -- inappropriate expectation that one takes more for oneself and it's work out fine in the longer term
capitulation -- surrender to avoid risk
anxiety -- push away, (worry: ) to avoid anticipated potential threats
hope -- opens us...to... the big picture, [so] creative, have belief in a better future
stimulus-response emotions --
anger --
fear --
ecstacy --

HUMAINE (slightly rearranged):
thoughts...
negative
positive
negative and positive,
agitation,
reactive
negative...
and forceful
and not in control
positive...
and lively
:caring
,quiet
Parrott --
love joy surprise anger sadness fear
-- HUMAINE's is easier to graph, Parrott's much better at inclusion of all emotions.
HUMAINE's seems to isolate "positive: caring", because thoughts and 'negative and positive' each cancel either side, as do 'lively' with ',quiet' and 'forceful' with 'not in control'.
to care -- 1 "Feeling and exhibiting concern and empathy for others:"; worry, generalized anxiety 2; "Feel concern or interest; attach importance to something" 3
greed -- 1 excessive desire to pursue and achieve more of our own goals inappropriate expectation that one takes more for oneself and it's work out fine in the longer term
fear -- 2 "Fear is a distressing negative sensation induced by a perceived threat. It is a basic survival mechanism occurring in response to a specific stimulus, such as pain or the threat of danger. In short, fear is the ability to recognize danger leading to an urge to confront it or flee from it (also known as the fight-or-flight response) but in extreme cases of fear (terror) a freeze or paralysis response is possible. review of wanderings
The vector and short line each emotion on my mec versions are short-sided, as the quotes above state fear can be in a freeze position, which does not exist in the current vector and short line approach.
So, I'm thinking of emphasizing the multi-function emotion personality type, the risk-reward emphasis of each emotion, and the gut reaction as linked to emotion.
------------------
anger for fear -- on the level toward profit instead of loss
capitulation for greed -- willing to let go if momentarily push self ahead of others' better reality
depression -- the nadir of trade entry
depression --
1 "de·pres·sion/diˈpreSHən/
Noun:
Severe despondency and dejection, accompanied by feelings of hopelessness and inadequacy.
A condition of mental disturbance, typically with lack of energy and difficulty in maintaining concentration or interest in life."
2 Depression (mood), a state of low mood and aversion to activity
It would seem to be that high emotional activity would need depression to THEN return to trading competancy, rather than depression being an ideal trading state.
gratitude receive -- interest capture
serenity be -- hope support
pride achieve -- inspi/persperation change
Parrott --
love joy surprise anger sadness fear
greed -- it
fear -- there
FEAR THERE
being there.....................serenity,pride
getting there...................hope,inspiration
GREED IT
