I saw several posts asking about the ablity to do this, but I could not find where anyone was successful. Just in case you want to do this, it is possible, as I finally was able to import a stock and a futures that I trade. I haven't been able to fine tune this just yet, but I did it and it is possible.
Export some data and save that file for referal, as once you download any third party data, you have to make the 3rd party data look like the data you exported from MT4.
I still have one bug that I can't resolve. I can't figure out how to add a new file to import the data into. So far, I have only been able to remove the data from one of the currency pairs that I am not trading, and then import the new data into that file. The file and chart name will match the currency pair you import it to, rather than the actual stock or futures name. I have tried everything, but so far, I can not get around this issue.
Anyway, I just wanted to alert people that it is indeed possible. If you know how to create new files in MT4, please share that with me. Otherwise, I will continue to play with it and see if I can figure it out.
