DislikedHi guys,
I still do not know if opening an account with a broker located outside the US is legal. Some say yes , others say no...
Thanks a lot

Fortunately, many brokers simply added "off shore" operations/accounts that their customers can open. These accounts are goverend by rules of the country the off shore operation is at. And no country but the US has been so ruthless against retail traders, by incorporating these ridiculous rules.
Yes, thank God it is legal. No thanks to "our" congressional "representatives", there was a way around this. And our brokers have given it to us. Why is it legal? Well, even the Big Guns use off shore accounts to get around some rules THEY don't like!
The US is no longer a democratic society; it is a "moneycratic" society where those with the money protect each other's interests. The "Thieves of Wall Street, Bank Street, and our senior "representatives" in Congress, that wield their influence over the rest of paid idiots we send there, are NOT looking out for the interests of "the worker bees".
