Disliked{quote}Can you tell me where else I can read about ftmo please. I haven't seen anything negative yet but probably not looking in the right places.Ignored

Disliked{quote} Prop firm fb group, 2 tg groups both named "prop firms" there are a few trust pilot reviews as well stating so. Nothing like mega serious and most likely dodgy traders getting punished. Negativity is part of FX, its when there is the majority of things being negative that you should worry... see-Ironfx. For a bit they will not paying a few folks, then out of no where they stopped paying everyone and death came. The few folks part was ok because they paid most and the affiliates made sure to scream it to the world. We are basically seeing...Ignored
Disliked{quote} -We can only speculate, honestly, and any data quickly becomes skewed when you consider factors like accelerated accounts where MFF sees 50% profit while taking on virtually no risk at all (other than possibly $2 at the early stages, which is negligible). In addition to that, there is nothing to stop a firm from going heavy with their own capital, and piggybacking on stronger 'signals' if/when they secure a trader that is actually decent. They would have no obligation to disclose that, either. Bad news for the decent trader that starts to...Ignored
Quoting JustAVisitDislikedHow is the decent trader experiencing heavy slippage on demo...So you are saying the prop firm is going to go so heavy that it actually moves the live market. Just trying to understand. Thanks.Ignored
Disliked{quote} Lol first glance at the homepage and it already screams "Traders Central Fund". I bet after further study one is bound to read something about leaving in profits in order to scale faster.Ignored
DislikedI've just com across another new prop firm: https://riseland.capital/ Does anyone already have any experience with them? They seem to have similar DD rules as FTMO but the profit target is a bit lower at 8%, although it's for both challenge and verification. The profit share is also lower than FTMO but perhaps it's more sustainable? Which investor / capital provider would really accept a 20-30% profit share if 70-80% goes to the trader? I don't wanna get involved with another Ponzi scheme. What do you think?Ignored

Disliked{quote} Easily the ugliest website i have seen. What on earth is that doll figure.Ignored
DislikedAll conventional hedge funds receive a 20%, max 30% performance fee. If the performance is extremely good, perhaps 40%. But no investor would provide capital at a performance fee higher than 50% meaning that the 70% profit shares can only come from the fee income and your orders are never go into the market. This can only work until there are enough new users who do not pass the challenge. Hence, I think that a lower profit share might be more sustainable.Ignored
Disliked{quote} At a hedge fund you’re also getting performance bonuses on top of any base split, but let’s be real here. The space Riseland is attempting to compete in is not the hedge fund space. It’s essentially the FX degen gamblers space. They aren’t going to give 2 shits what’s feasible for the company. They want higher splits and better terms.Ignored
Disliked{quote} did someone say degen gambler? PRESENT!! if my split isnt over 70% I am not interested. Also traditional prop firms in futures are doing 50-70% split. I do question the 90% split models very harshly. If certain discords are anything to go by, not many people are making consistent money in prop.Ignored
Disliked{quote} Yeah, the 90% split rubs me the wrong way too. But with FTMO i think it's just an attempt at clever marketing, unlike FT who were doing it to save face during a crisis. FTMO knows damn well that only a small portion of participants make it to the funded stage and first pay out. I can only imagine that small portion greatly reduces in number for people who successfully retain their funded accounts for the required profitable 3-4 months in order to qualify for a scale up and upgrade in profit split. They know what they're doing.Ignored
