Disliked{quote} high frequency trading is actually done like this... imagine 2 brokers.... FXXX 1.20001 and AXXX 1.20000 removing bid-ask condition away.... what HFT does is buy AXXX for 1.2000, and sell the same security to FXXX for the price they quote which is infinitesimally higher than AXXX's quoted price.... then 1.20001 you gain that 0.00001 profit.... HFT is literally trading these small differences in price in different brokers... essentially Arbitrage trading...... but because of the size of the profit... more orders are placed.... sooo 10 orders...Ignored

Disliked{quote} BTW you know whats funny? we at treasury dont even need to find clients... the client hunting bit is done by people down at private bank and corporate bank relationship managers... they are literally Brain dead... a friend of mine trading fixed income told me he had to deal with a Relationship manager who found a client asking for a corporate bond at 7% yield yet wants the bond to be atleast 1 A grade..... we couldnt stop laughing..... the best 1A grade bond out there in terms of yield is around 3%,,, 4% is pushing it.... she wants 7....Ignored
Disliked{quote} I never understood that, to be honest, why US traders can't trade normally anymore. Leverage, ok, lets say someone doesn't want people to lose money quicker than in Vegas. But hedge and even worse, FIFO, I don't get. Anyway, you got your new broker now, don't you? I think they are the last man standing, providing all the features to US traders.Ignored
