DislikedOkay I made some statements lastnight about the dollar weakness and the U.S economy that supported reasoning for continued dollar weakness. However I got an E-mail from a family member who says that they are concerned and are thinking about switching their accounts over to Euro, and when I say they I mean all the people he works with as well are talking about this. Okay my cousin knows nothing about investing and neither does his co-workers I assume. Here is the point. The mass public have finally caught on to this dollar weakness which means we may see a top soon. I still believe that the big boys will try to continue with dollar weakness but for how much longer? It cant be too much longer since the mass public is now concerned and or switching their accounts over just before the big fall. I have been suspecting a top for some time now but the reasoning is getting stronger. I am still trading on dips in the direcetion of the trend untill we reach that top but with ALOT more caution. Its like a balancing scale and everybody is jumping on and when that one last fat man jumps on the whole scale is going to fall over. And then its going to rain pips so fast they will have to issue a flood warningIgnored

DislikedDollar is inside of a strong downtred since 2001 minimum. Euro, which is accountable for some 60-70% of the USD-index tells the story...
USD index is just not even uglier, because UJ (whick accounts for a bigger share in the index than cable, for instance) is not trending down heavily because of the carry trades.Ignored
DislikedI dont think there is an end any time soon.. especially if further rate cuts are on the cards which they seem to be..Ignored
Dislikedfor a moment lets say stock markets etc. look not that bad in USA, but then lets look at these markets from this angle:
8% of the US market capital is owned by Saudi Arabians (fact)
below are my wild guess, don't know the facts:
I THINK at least 10% should be owned by europeans
likewise I think 5% at least by south americans
10% at least by Britons
10% by other Asians etc. etc.
other way, I agree that US might hold strong in other countries too, but that doesn't sound like a world leader economy at all except US has shitloads of nukes etc.
I think I'm too late to realise the fact how rapidly the equations in world economy have been changing. Major part of it taking effect and clearly visible in FX markets.Ignored
