And like I said, focus on actual economic data rather than soundbites from politicians. They're biased sock puppets and I much rather look at real figures than their PR nonsense...especially if their soundbites aren't anything new like the thing you quoted above.
In the short to medium term you almost don't have to pay attention to that stuff at all, just focus on charts. None of my trades last week where based on fundamental news...in fact, I only found out about Japan after waking up the next morning (at which point the main move had already happened) and my trades where based on pure chart analysis.
