DislikedYou're probably on indicator overload ... too many in the directory, let along too many attached to the chart can make MT4 do quirky things. And if they're not rogue from the start, they can become rogue. I know lots that will do this to my MT4 installs.
There's also something inefficient about when you start MT4 and it has to pull in all the data it's missing from the time it was disconnected from your broker ... it's more the norm that all my MT4 installs do this on multiple computers - something gets into the pipes that clogs the system. DislikedEgkid, 3 other things to keep in mind is deleting your history folders of your MT4 directory (move them to a subfolder), limiting your candles viewed/kept in history under options (you don't really need to keep 100,000 candles in your chart and have your indies calculate on all of them) and rightclicking on your marketwatch and select "hide all" so your MT4 does not keep calculating datafeed for currencies you are not actually looking at and thereby clogging up your RAM.Ignored

so why even worry about a gap ? enjoy the weekend . If you have a sell position on a swing position set your stop to break , if it is close to current price and you are worried bout a gap take profit and come back sundayIgnored
