DislikedYou bet. Rumors are hot that the BOJ might do an old school massive intervention. When is the last time it was done - the '90's? The gist though is that BOJ would flood the market with yen, selling yen, buying euros, buying dollars. I guess previous interventions have involved transactions in the $100 billion range. The result would be some prime volatility. I don't think anyone really believes they will do it, but according to the article, they are planning for it. Rumor has been that it would be today.

I was trading when some central banks were still stupid. Now they know that trying to stop the gulf stream is ...well....impossible
Especulators today are a lot more astute and capitalized than Soros was when he broke the BOE's back.
If the BOJ do something stupid they know that it can back fire and send the Yen to the moon.
