DislikedBtw, is MBT's ECN a true ECN or is it STP? If it were an ECN, wouldn't banks trade with us also? But usually EUR/USD's volume is 120k on a 1min chart vs ~500 contracts/min average for EUR futures (1 contract = 125k euros).Ignored

DislikedPay for Limits will stay, and in fact, there are many people that will continue to find that model compelling, especially system traders that want the tighter spreads to trigger their orders.

DislikedECN being a "mini" exchange, where banks and MB's clients trade with each other.
So if we're in fact trading with banks, I'm wondering is why volume so low relative to the futures contract? I understand futures are traded on one exchange, whereas there are several fx ECNs, however, the futures volume is roughly 500 times more than MB's ECN volume.Ignored
DislikedGrimreaper,
There is a very lengthy conversation on this thread going back as well as a lot of information on our website about how our system works. We are an ECN/STP broker. We have banks that show us quotes and an ECN for internal customer limit orders. We route your order via ECN or STP to whichever has the best price.Ignored
