I want to show how I trade and attach a trade explorer to it so you can follow if its profitable. I will try and answer your questions and be as off much help as I can.

All you need is the super trend indicator plotted on a15mins chart .The way I trade will need a lot of discretion trying to identify the trend .With enough experience trying it you should be ok,just don't risk more than 1% of your account balance at anytime (very critical rule)

I'm not familiar with the super trend indicator, but I assume that you use it to identify trends?
Why would you then need discretion to identify trends?
TIME FRAME: 15MINS

PAIRS: EUR/USD EUR/JPY

INDICATOR: SUPER TREND

TRADING TIMES: Mondays to Fridays 7am to 5pm GMT

RULES: 1 Identify the trend on higher time frame eg daily time frame or 4hr time frame
2 (i)If its an up trend,enter a buy with super trend colored green and price above super trend
(ii) if its a downtrend,enter a sell with super trend colored red and price below super trend
3 Place stop loss at 100 pips from the price of last closed candle
4 Place Take Profit at 300 pips from the price of last closed candle
5 i) If in a buy,exit trade when super trend turns red and price is below
ii)If in a sell exit trade when super trend turns red and price is above

everyone has a way of identifying a trend.I do that using higher time frames as stated above. When I see price making higher highs on those higher time frames,I could take that as an uptrend and vise versa,even go to action forex and see the bias there to get more confidence in my decision. Either price continues to go up in my directionor reverses;I'm not risking much and my TP is way BIGGER than my SL so when I'm right, I'm in the money.
This is the trade I've been in since 7am eur/jpy. You can see that price has been coming down since yesterday so I entered this morning as soon as I woke up and placed my sl and tpcurrently +108pips . The thing now is that eur/jpy moves very fast and I can still end up not making any money on this trade,but If it goes against me it wont be much. One thing is for sure in a month you will get that 200-300pips gain and that will offset some losses and put you in the green.

I have to close the trade and run to the office....to be continued...
Just entered a buy trade on eur/jpy. Set my TP for 300pips SL 100pips. Lets see how it goes ( entered the trade late though as I wasn't in front of my pc)

Exited the trade for 85pips after price fell under the supertrend and it turned red.
Just entered another buy trade on EUR/JPY with my SL 100 pips and TP 300pips in place. I can see price is still making higher highs on the 4hr chart and since we are following the trend we buy prices higher...lets see how it goes

I am running my own retail business. Have been trading forex for about 8 years, and have consistently made losses each month, blowing my account 4 times, using many different types of indicators, some of which were self created. I have spent so long hours, sleepless nights, trying to perfect my system, so much time spent that I wonder why my family never made any noise about my trading habits. The little noise they made was about whether trading was what I really wanted. I never quite explained to them why trying to be successful in trading was so important to me for the future. Now that I think about this as I'm typing, I should thank them for giving me the support throughout these years.

Anyway, the point is this, I love the SuperTrend indicator. Why?

For the FIRST time in so many years, I am making money consistently. YES!
For the FIRST time I am able to see a comfortable retirement in sight.
It's the only indicator that allows me to ride a trend from quite early in the up or down run to almost the end of the run.
It gives me an accuracy of more than 80%.
I'm making pips that I would have thought was not possible.
My losses are small and controlled.
Entries, exits, stops, are very clearly defined.

As of the 13th of this month, I'm up about 1700+ pips. And I'm currently holding on to a short position in EurJpy, about 150 pips up.

Now of course I'm not using SuperTrend solely. I use it with some variation, and I combined it a few other indicators. So, to all who are losing hope in trading, do not lose hope. Many top traders have blown their accounts more than once, but they never gave up! Good luck!

It repaints just like every other indicator.What you have to do is wait for 2 candles to close before making a decision as it doesn't repaint after that .Even moving averages repaint as price movesif you watch them well.
