do you believe in stocks?

believing is worth a shit......the question is CAN YOU BE PROFITABLE?

ALL beliefs are TRASH.......it is in light of the evidence that one gets convinced of what is real, what is possible, and what is attainable.

the only time it will end is if they make one world currency. it may be locked down with tighter regulations but it wont end anytime soon

What's not to believe? Currencies do exist. They are not something made up in a fairy tale. Currency values fluctuate versus each other. Therefore one could essentially exchange them to gain profit.

Exactly.

The problem is in finding a strategy that consistently harnesses this flunctuation to your advantage. Not easy.

I discussed "forex" with a guy I know, who used to be a market maker in the russian market (stocks and futures).

After a few drinks, we came to the conclusion that the only "forex scam" is that it's being marketed and advertised by criminals as an "easy" thing, an easy "earn your living" "money making" machine, while it's probably the most choppy, volatile, unpredictable market ever, even for well experienced traders in the profession.

That's all. Apart from that, it's a market like any other, with small&big players, brokers, LPs, and whatnot.
No scalp, no glory.

I seriously doubt it. As a rule, idiots aren't trading for institutions.

Very simple answer.

If you dont enter Forex, your private bank will do with every euro you put into your home bank account. So it is pretty real and you decide who multiplies your money.

Well said. It comes across as a scam to many people because of the way it is marketed - as you point out. Not sure you needed a few drinks with a Russian to come to that conclusion (haha, just joking), but it is a very difficult for someone with little or no experience. Especially since currencies can be traded on leverage.

A real perspective of what Money exchange is (forex) .

I believe that , since money exchange for speculative purpose (retail) has been gaining popularity, easy to do from your own home, Wall street has been doing a systematic campaign to discredit the possibility to invest in a foreign currency. The potential loss in Investment money for them is huge... and they would be completely out of the loop from commission and manipulations.

Actually, "exchange" is way older then any other financial market.. products for products, later products for gold, and finally, since fiat money, it is one currency for another. How in the world anyone would consider that a scam??

I mean... fiat money (the one that a country issue as legal tender for exchange for products and services) it is kind of scam ... but not the exchange between them.

I grew up with the concept of investing in a more stable currency then our own.. my father always was buying dollars and keep them for rainy days... at that time, 60s and 70s , the dollar was more stable then our currency in south America. (now is backwards)

He did well, if anybody needed dollars, He was the one that set the price, if someone wanted to sell due to emergency, He set the price.. I guess today we would call him a "market maker" .. right?.

Now that my father is over 80 and having never touched a computer, He does understand very good that I am doing the same He did back then .. .but still amazed that I can buy “any” currency I want in milliseconds. But the concept remain the same: I buy from whoever want to sell at one price, I sell it later at the price I want... according to my ability to hold, which is under my control.

But at the beginning he keep scratching his head somewhat puzzle how all this was even possible.
I think He started to get the idea when I said,, Dad, my bank gave me a line of credit to buy currencies as you did long time ago .... He answered..ha, ha ... I went on..yes.... actually a line of credit in many currencies... I can borrow in dollars, pounds, yen , euros etc, and the Bank keeps tab of all the loans in those different currencies. .. He said, wow... and ask.. how much large is your line of credit?.. well, 100 times the amount of whatever I want to deposit as security... his eye opened big , really? What is the catch? .. Big interest? Your house as collateral??? I said no... actually the interest is dirty cheap,
at around 2% per year...and no other security... but yes, there is a catch.. ..Whatever “currency” and “amount” I buy, I need to keep it in deposit with them until I pay the loan, but thats ok...I am buying just to sell higher later anyway... He said .. great the Bank does that for you, . You probably remember that I was always worry keeping all those dollars here in the house safe...and.. how much time they give you to pay those loans after you buy something? .. well, Dad, the loans have no due date , so no rush as I can wait until I get the price I want the same then you did... His last sentence.. WOW...what a blessing .

Well he knows and I know that speculating with currencies is not new, nor a scam.. just different due to technology and evolution in the Banking system.
