FXDirectDealer (FXDD) Discussion

Hello Traders,


I wanted to create this thread as a centralized hub for trading questions related to FXDirectDealer, better known as FXDD. Sometimes it can be hard to navigate page after page looking for a particular thread about a broker, or a post related to a question you had. This will serve as your one stop shop for FXDD education, support, and discussion.

If you are a current trader using a live or demo account with FXDD, feel free to pose account, deposit and trade related questions and we will do our best to answer promptly.

If you trade with someone else, we can only hope your trading experience has been smooth and transparent. We will gladly answer any questions you have about how we operate as a broker or the Forex market in general.

Our goal is to create a communal, honest environment where we can help traders and also let traders discuss their experiences, positive or negative.

Any progress with your NFA case yet? The allegations are rather disturbing..

We wanted this thread to be more of a general discussion rather than such a focused topic.

Shrike, thanks for asking. We take these allegations from the NFA very seriously, and understand the severity of the situation and how it could be disconcerting for a trader. We are continuously working with the NFA to resolve this matter. Feel free to test our execution and trading with a demo account if you would like, however, we understand your reluctance.



CFTC and NFA regulations are intended to provide customer protections and orderly markets. FXDD, like most other firms, works very hard to maintain a trading environment in which customers can trade with confidence and security, and we look forward to maintaining your trust through honesty and transparency.

The time is 5:29 am CST, 10/31/2012. My FXDD platform is down and has been down more for than 30 minutes yet my other brokerage platforms are up and running on the same computer. The FXDD web site is down. I cannot get through to FXDD on ANY numbers including the trading desk. To me, this represents a major outage and a major problem.

I would like an explanation as to why FXDD does not have the systems in place to support clients when they have outages. Standard industry IT practices seem to be missing or greatly deficient.

Still down and its 6:30am!?! Haven't seen it in in a few but last 1 min candle for me was 3:09am est. Price is at 1.3010 at 6:45am, so we all missed that nice move move from 1.2950 to 1.3010 u fukin useless pricks. Lets us back in the move is over now u cocksuckers! Figures 1 hour after no connection price has taken off, u deserve to be out of Business!!

Even their website is down. What's wrong? Has anyone called them?

All their lines do not answer or return busy signals. At the very least, we should have access to the trade desk at an alternative site if their main site is down. FXDD should also be sending e-mails to clients on how to reach them if their published numbers don't work!

Good thing this is not my only broker, because anybody who couldnt trade after 3am est just got fuking screwed big time. Haha what a joke so sick of shady shit man! I can see at 10 -11pm est but not at 3am when london is open!

mine is down as well... been going down for the last few days....

so I logged in using a vpn... that normally works... but not today

I've been with fxdd since 08 never had these problems

FXDD has probably been impacted by hurricane Sandy and they probably don't have adequate backup systems or strategy for their offsite location. I am definitely closing my accounts when they reopen. My other brokers are up and fine. This is simply unacceptable; i.e. open trades and no way to manage them.

Yep....same here....however, I thought they were based out of Dallas, Tx...no hurricane there! But I have open trades also, so I am getting out if I survive this.....I have all my trades with tp and sl......let's see if they honor that

Hopefully none of u guys r stuck in a trade... i would be furious if that was the case! Especially if u have a short going. Good luck the lights might be out for good at this place!

What was the last 1 minute candle for u guys when fxdd went down? Its 1 thing if price stays flat when it happens but not a nice 60 pip move in the current direction that is just some messed up shit right there!
