Disliked{quote} Yeh they are all dawdling about like the weather. I hope you do not mind - I would like to ask you, do you treat news like retail sales in same way as rates release as it did have the same major impact? Thanks for your support today - I must owe you a microbrewery of beer. God knows what I owe FTI.Ignored
Hi Alexandria
no no you do not owe me anything, i am happy to try to help, i was helped so just trying to pass the favor on.
please be aware fundamentals are not my strong point, in my experience rate releases are major major and really move the market if the news is not what was expected, things like retail sales can also move the market but not like rates can, i am cautious with any major news release and ensure my exposure can handle a run against my trades, in the end it is all just trading, i do not really think of it as attack/rescue anymore, i just manage my overall position to become profitable if i can, that is why i take the view of trading one currency but spreading it over a few pairs, as i did this morning. you never know which one is going to move more than the other, that is what i use my scouts for to tell me good decision/bad decision, i only added one more scout to the e/u because i could see by the figs and chart that one was a bad decision but it had bottomed out and gbp news was very good.
regards
Phil.
