DislikedHi All,
I’ve done a bit more work on converting this strategy into an EA using FX-Scanner and back tested it. Attached are the results for 1/1/2011 until now.
I put the basic settings for the strategy into FX-Scanner lite, which is FREE from their website fx-scanner.com and got the top set of results. I’ve since tried the Pro version which has many more options for different indicators. I trialled various indicators and found that adding CCI as a trade entry requirement improved the results significantly (bottom results). I used...Ignored
DislikedHi Peter,
Those are impressive results. I can't duplicate it. I have written my own EA and I'm trying to figure out the difference. I see you use the 200EMA, but I don't see how you use the 10EMA. Would you run yours in visual mode, with the template, and show me a couple of your positive trades. This may help. Our send me log of your trades and then I can try to match them up to my screen. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! you can send it to my email if you wish. [email protected]...Ignored
DislikedHi Loveevery1, simple and great system, I've been reading all the posts here, also great people posting here, my question is what is the approach with the 200 ema and the TDI for H1 TF in the system ? It would be good if you explained it. I know you did it for H4 and thanks for your time and patience.Ignored
DislikedI forgot to mention that my back testing results really didn't produce good results until i changed the system so it trades to the 200EMA rather than away from. My system is now significantly different from what I started with. I expect thats why your seeing different results.
I'll post more details laterIgnored

DislikedHi Shawn..,
The easy workaround is to open an MT4 demo account, search for one that resembles your thinkorswim chart in terms of candles (hope you understand the point here) and then use mt4 signals to trade on think or swim.., Hope this helps.Ignored

DislikedFor those not having a MT4 Platform : In place of the TDI -> use the CCI set to 6 and for the level enter a 0.0 line. When the line crosses the 0.0 line you normally have a set up. This info was PM'ed to me ...Ignored
