I'm just wondering here: what does these guys actually do?
Always when you watch some financial news, then those guys are shouting and trumbling over each others - they are like an animals? So called Floor Traders, not sure if Market Makers - propably not, but who knows anyway.
Are they actually trading the markets with big money (currencies, stocks, bonds, futures or anything) or are they just for the TV shows there?
If they are really trading with big money, then how do they trade? I'm sure everyone of them has a different approach and style of trading. But generally what's the difference between floor traders and those who sit on officies?
Is the only difference really shouting like crazy? I mean why they go there to fight each day and show them on TV instead of trading online or just in a office? Is there some information that they are looking or what?
I just don't get it, each time I see those guys there it makes laugh, but in the same time I'm not sure why they do this?
Is there some real reasons for all of this?
