Disliked{quote} As far as i could remember there was no spike on that news , at least on Oanda FXTrade java platform, my sl wasn't hit and i moved my sl to 0, my sl was hit at 7 pips (I checked again in trade hystory). Maybe you could switch to Oanda broker for better execution (i'm not affiliate with them in any way)Ignored
Dislikedtony, so far im half way through this thread and its been inspiring to say the least. post 2858 has to be my favourite one. it seems to me so far from what i read you found success during 2010 with the 2 pip sl and 140 tp method at london and ny opens. is this still the method used? im using it too since the start of this week and hope to see success in the fiscal year starting now. thanks for starting this thread tony Jay24Ignored

Disliked{quote} Lol, I went back to reading that post. I've seen ups and downs during my whole journey. It seems that the devil always comes back to make me do wrong moves... The success came before 2010 but was ruined by some bad decisions. I always knew what to do. The London opens and NY opens will work with proper management. The news trading is similar. It gives a better edge according to actual market conditions. All you need is stability. I'm waiting for my 5 am news. I know it's gonna give me better volatility than the London open usually.Ignored
Disliked{quote} so read the whole forum from start to finish. Tony, youre a hero to a 20 year old fx trader. you know what, youre a don mate. i just want to say thanks and i really appreciate how you selflessly scattered treasured information in this post to make new retail traders journey in this market so much easier. no human is perfect but from what ive read, you have a good heart. i dont really feel like i have anything worth adding to this moment in time, but i just thought of a little saying. (maybe it sounds wise to me because its 4am here lol)...Ignored
