TRADE EXPLORER: http://www.forexfactory.com/doandbecome
Have been involved in the markets to some degree since the mid 80's, currencies only since 2009. Have committed EVERY sin available and ready to "settle" down with this Journal.
Style:
Daily Swing Trading... I am not good with intra-day and definitely not smart with my account size and time available. Trades should live a minimum of a day unless stopped out and a few days if price allows me to trail.
Primarily pairs: EUR/JPY, EUR/AUD, and GBP/NZD
Goals:
Process, process, process.
Proper, disciplined Daily price based trades.
No return or money based goals.
Risk:
ATR based, never more than one Daily bar. Never more than 4% per pair. 20:1 Broker limit.
Targets:
Minimum based on ATR.. Max target unknown.
CURRENT WOES:
1. The temptation to "reduce risk" by going to lower time frames which is a rabbit hole for me.. once there things tend to get dark and losses/missed daily bar opportunities mount.
2. Impatience to wait for in-trend trades. I end up trying counter-trend, which even with reduced risk puts me in the wrong mental state to take the in-trend opportunities when they do come... and come they always do.
Hopefully the Journal motivates to fix these..
