I know, this is a little off topic, my apologies. I've traded Forex for about 4 years now but have started to follow the stock market more closely for a more rounded picture of what is happening in the world.
I've got a really dumb question. I look at the premarkets each morning on CNBC and the numbers they show make no sense to me.
If you look at the attached screen shot, they quote the Dow:
Futures
Index close: 11295.81
Current Future: 11209.0
Change: -14
OK, so basic math, the difference is really -86.81. So where do these changes come from? Am I missing something here?
And this isn't just today. I've been watching for weeks and always see a difference.
Thanks!
