Your results to date are BRILLIANT ('Awesome' if you're US based!)
A few questions please;
What time zone are you in... or what times of day do you trade given the restrictions imposed by your business?
Which time scale do you run the actual trades on, the 1 hour? (The others are for confirmation only?)
What levels do you set your SLs?
You results are from single lots only?Ignored
I am in the Central Time zone in the US. I'll usually start my chart analysis after 8pm, paying attention first to the yen and aussie pairs, since their market is open then. The fun usually starts around 2am. I look for pairs on the 1 hour that are at least touching if not already crossed. I'll then check the 30min and 15min to confirm. I usually not trade a pair until there is a true cross on the 1hour, but if I've got a strong cross on the 30min and the 15min shows it's still moving, I'll fudge and jump early; but it's got to be going with the trend and a move I was already expecting. After about an hour it's back to bed. If I'm up in the night later, I'll check in; and again between 6-8am, depending on when I awake. I have remote access setup at work to my pc at home so I can check my trades ever once in a while, there but not for more than a minute or two.... like I said before, I miss a few along the way.
Stop losses at this point are, shall we say, dynamic. Remember this is a DEMO account. SL management has always been a problem for me and I AM EXPERIMENTING. Sometimes it's a 30 sl, sometimes a 50 sl. Sometimes I'll use a pivot level, sometimes an historical support. Sometimes I haven't used a stop and am now a little deep in a trade the wrong way (nothing I am in a panic over) I AM EXPERIMENTING! Anybody that trades what I am doing in a live account, at this point, is NUTS! Right now I am working on tweaking entries. I do however move my stop to break even quite early, usually at 30+, but I've been know to move it at 15-20+. In my book, a break even trade is a positive trade (it ain't negative!) If you had to nail me down, I guess I would recommend a 50 SL as an EMERGENCY SL. However, if it's going the wrong way with no end in sight... Get out!
Yes, the results I posted are actual pip movement, not based on multiple lots X pip movement. Any idiot that's done this a while can get lucky and get 1000 pips on a 10 pip, 100 lot move on a demo account!
Hope that answers your questions.
