This journal is for my own personal journey. Using this journal as a way of documenting my trades and describing my thought process, etc., as a means of educating myself.
I welcome criticism only if it is constructive. That seems to be subjective to some, so my thoughts are these. No reprimands of lot size or my own money management. To me, that is up to the trader to determine his own risk.
I do not rely on indicators. I do have on my charts, an 8 and 21 day EMA on the Daily and Weekly TF's. I also use a 150 and 365 day EMA on the TF's that are 4hr. and lower. However, I really do not even focus on these and I certainly DO NOT play spaghetti crosses. It's basically a means for me to see how far price has gotten away from the EMA's, and to anticipate a reversal. But it is not something I rely on much.
I mainly rely on Support/Resistance Zones and Price Blocks taught by Steve W. at No Brainer Trades. Recently attended a seminar with him and was worth every dime spent. I also use a few techniques I picked up from my time studying VSA/Wyckoff. I find VSA useful in some respects but mainly find it to be Gap Filling, but it can helpful. Not here to debate my views on VSA or to downplay it. Frankly I am sure I know only the basics and there are others far more capable than I to explain it. I also am trying to learn "Order Flow" the Darkstar way. Patiently waiting on his book.....Woohoooo!!
Keep my eyes and ears on the pulse of the market by using RANSquawk, ZeroHedge, ForexLive and IFR.
Well, today it begins.........
