Well that was an interesting week for longer term trend traders. Following the prior week's unsettling trend reversals and trend retracements due to global uncertainty associated with the deteriorating oil price, I was anticipating this week that I might be able to jump onto new emerging trends offerring high momentum and things were faring well until the FOMC announcement.
Bass, you were absolutely correct in your prediction of where the chips would fall following the FOMC announcement. My hat is off to you Sir. :-)
Market activity yesterday was painfully slow and I am hoping that we at last are entering the festive season where traders can put their feet up and relax a bit. I certainly am looking forward to getting away from the screens and analysis a bit and taking some time out with the family...... not to mention the pile of domestic chores awaiting my return.
Despite the effect of the FOMC I was fortunately able to claw back some of my losses from last week, and it is looking like the end of December will put the month into positive profit territory.....but the fat lady isn't singing yet for the end of the month as anything can happen between now and then.
My next post will feature closed trades for the week and then I will venture on to show the few remaining open trades that have managed to stay afloat following the FOMC.
Regards
