Disliked{quote} You should definitely work on your interpretation and reading skills. Did I say navin was out for lucky punches? Is over leveraging and getting away with it/risking too much not a lucky punch for some people sometimes? Are my friends who are professional traders living by trading and saying it is hard to earn more than 10 % all life long with low risk just dumb nuts?! Somewhat serious here ... then maybe work a bit on your ego as well. Nobody needs judgement and big teachings. Then these comments are also a bit ... complacent maybe?!Ignored
Disliked{quote} Sounds like a good plan, but with 10k the expectation of 1k a month is a bit high with lower risk. You probably cannot expect to gain 10 % every month. Then to make a living on this, you have to start with probably more than 10k. I know that this issue has been discussed widly, yet after thinking it over and over again I would say to make 1 k every month with very little risks you need about 100 k at least. Now to be honest: How many people can afford to toss 100 k at a trading account?Ignored
Disliked{quote} Talking about low risk, steady income over years and years and years, not lucky punches. I know some professional traders (non commercials) who say it is very hard to gain more than 5-6 % every month without risking too much. But if you do not push buttons on a live account, you will never get there. Last 3 months around 30 % - overleveraged? No. Professional? Surely not. Just variance.Ignored
So I replied with the post you just quoted about folks doing any better than your 1% a month claim being only "lucky punches" as false. (Something by the way Navin seems to agree with?) That's all. No ego and IMHO, no misinterpretation either. Just because you and your professional trader friends think that 10% a month is not doable or "safe" to do, doesn't make it so for everyone else.
You're comment about "Judgments and big teachings"? Escapes me entirely. I do neither so I have no response to that. It simply doesn't apply to me.
General questions from all this (that I'm neither asking for, nor requiring answers to) do pop up in my mind though. If your professional trader friends knowledge and advice are so sound, what are you doing here? Why not simply learn from them? Or are you here to simply dismiss others based on your friends knowledge and advice?
If there's any ego to be checked, you might want look in the mirror first.
I'll take me and mine out of this thread again. Since it seems a simple statement, over a simple matter to just have and be part of a conversation, ALWAYS draws this kind of ego driven response. Have a nice day.
