DislikedHi nightstocher, thanks for your advise. I'll give it a shot, however, I was advised by the programmer who coded this EA to demo test first always. I try thoughIgnored
Disliked{quote} of course demo test it before going live, if at all. but backtesting it in the MT4 strategy tester doesn't put any funds at risk. it just runs your EA against historical data to see how it would have performed.Ignored
Disliked{quote} First off...Backtests are bullshit. They are a complete waste of time and anybody still using these to do anything other than verify the trigger is a fool...ya know what they say about fools and their money? This was written for people who lay down money on backtests. Forward testing really is the way to go. This being said...looking at the results based on an H4 chart...seeing an average of like what, 10-20 pips? This is seemingly more of a waste of time than actual backtesting. Try to appreciate the actual range of swings on an H4 chart being in the hundreds and this thing captures and closes,...Ignored
Disliked{quote} you seem to be missing my point for want of making yours--which was running a backtest will show tdhowl this strategy will probably never ever work. precisely what placing it on an M15 chart looks to have done.Ignored

Disliked3. That I can code better trade logic drunk than this guy paid $150 for.Ignored
DislikedGreetings to all reading this thread. I decided to not continue to post screenshots about this EA anymore here on this thread. I just setup a trade explorer connecting my live account at FXCM to my members page. For the foreseeable future, I have set the Swing ZZ EA v0.2 to trade live the EUR/USD pair on the 4Hour timeframe. It's very simple, if I see steady profit then I will increase lot size and will allow the EA to continue to make profitable trades for me. However, If I see the EA is not doing well.. then I will discontinue using it, and then...Ignored
