DislikedGuy's lets talk about this year. What your plans in the Forex World? Some of us still not successfully and I guess the biggest problem are not the entry's - exits, its more the wrong management. What's your thought?Ignored
Disliked{quote} Well, I'm an aggressive trader when it comes to MM. The longer term TF I'm still running on Genesis I risk 10% of the balance. Most of my equity is "floating" by nature of the strategy, so figuring on balance isn't really that high. On the M1 & M5, I'll be risking 5% based on stoploss. Based on an average s/l of 10 pips that would obviously give a return of 5% on a 10 pip move. My goal is going to be 20 pips a day. If I can reach that it would double account about every 8 trading days (don't trade every day) with compounding. I know that's...Ignored

Disliked{quote} I only risk 1-1.5% depending if it's a re-entry vs original trade. 10% is huge! DislikedMy plan for 2014 will be to aim for 15 pips a day, with 2% risk starting from an equity of 10k. I'm trading on FXCM and will be using standard lot, never more than 2 trades open at the same time, except on BE, and finally limiting my leverage from 1:10 to 1:20. I don't want to be over-leveraged. Right now I'm watching 6 pairs + Gold : AU EU NU UCad UChf UJ I plan to reduce that number by 50%. I don't want to watch to many pairs and making poor decision because of it. I also plan to try to learn more the Yen cross because I'm not use to them right...Ignored
Disliked{quote} Malouin, That's a lot of pairs to watch just to get 15 pips. How do you get 15 pips easier?? Find pairs that are volatile but have some controlled volatility - i.e. trend well. Look for HPT on say 2 pairs...........15 pips should be quite easily achived. That's what I'm doing this year. Made the mistake last year, initially, of trading 4 pairs...........quite hard actually to do it well so now I concentrate on 2 pairs for the session I'm trading. PM1Ignored
DislikedHmm, why not just using one volati pair like EA and put all focus on this?Ignored
