Hi Ichi traders:

I use a MTF with Ichimoku, too. This is a trade in XAG/USD (I only trade XAG and XAU) at 14/02/2013.
These charts reminds me of a friendly person in a FB-group But maybe you are that person

Yes, over the years, after spending thousands & thousands of hours of watching charts has made me realize the importance of keeping things as simple as possible, which means not clogging my charts with unnecessary garbage, most of the time, it just causes more confusion.......accordingly, as I've said before, I don't use Chinkou Span so I even get rid of that....

That's true. as long as you are comfortable with the chart, it doesn't matter how it looks.
nice trade, good for you pal.

Of course......if putting a lot of stuff on their charts helps somebody trade better then nothing wrong with that...........we're all different, I was just talking about myself......

Thanks

hi,

statring out on ichimuku and have a quick question. which broker is best to use settings. have noticed that FXCM and FxPro have different appearances for the same setting. maybe because of the sunday candle from FXCM. does ichimoku take this sunday into account when calculating the ichimuko?? FXCM shows a break of cloud for example. but Fxpro shows price still inside the cloud for EURUSD as at today.

Kindly assist. does the broker matter?

That would be due to the Sunday candle as pointed out in your statement. I would not worry too much, just go with what you have. If you work on the higher charts it really does not make that a big difference.

Hi Guys, thanks for your helpful posts, I have read and re-read most of them....!!!

I need to get more serious in my trading and will get on this forum, now that I have found it, it is great,

Hope you don't mind me asking a couple of questions,

As this thread has evolved, have you guys honed in on a particular time frame/currency pair..???

Do you trawl the t/f and currencies to get all the opportunities you can.

5 min Eur/Jap seems to be popular, 50 pips a day, sounds good, is this the way to go..??

Your answers are welcomed,

Cheers, Steve

it is approaching 6:55 am UK time and I am looking at the EUR/US chart, 5 min time frame,

It looks like the price is about to close below the Kumo,

a big cloud, Tenkan/kijun are running on top of each other, no cross,

cloud is bullish, chikouu span looks good,

candle has closed below cloud, I have gone short....!!! s/l at senkou A,

what do you think...???

5 min charts are way too bumpy if you ask me. Use 4H or higher, it is all you need.
