Trading is easier if you just learn to read the basics on higher tf's, then use whatever you like to enter... context is what matters, not fancy entry strategies

Some traders seems to have an issue with the demo/live account thing... for me I actually trade with more discipline on my live account... If it is a problem for you though these guys have a clever solution...

I don't trade much differently - exception is size of trade - entry and exist are according to my strategies.

maybe people start too big with their first account, never a possibility for me, so didn't make much difference?

testing my new trade strategy:

Return: 140.8%
Account Age: 5 days

using only 1:200 margin (now 1:101 becuase I doubled my money, will take more positions tomorrow while/before bernanke speech)
0.05 lot trades

I also have a live account but it is not this aggressive

(some very bad trades here like XAU/USD short, GBP/JPY long)

net pips: 4,899

Instead of books I am reading posts in week-end. You can say some posts are trash and doesn't worth, but some books are too

When I read this post:

It was a thunder at my head instantly!
Countless lessons are teaching don't take trade just with 1:3 minimum risk ( aka 100 pip SL, 300 pip TP or 10-30) and this is why need to be patient.
Idk how is your trades, but if I wait for almost perfect setup and if I am getting in aggressively, that is -10% or +30% for my account at least I can't imagine how to be aggressive with +10%,...
There's never a perfect set up in my opinion - every trade has some degree of risk - but there are prime set ups of course.
I'm a pretty good money manager so I can turn most trades into winners or at least break even. I try to win every exchange - which I'm told is a no no but it usually works for me - of course there are extreme situations that I would jump out of. I've blown up accounts when I was a beginner so I think I have enough experience to avoid that situation.

**revenge trading - you're dam right I'm going to get even after a loss!!

example of good money management after bad entry. the entry was
a result of a limit buy on EJ --- the market tanked so fast I couldn't change the order.
But the next entry was perfect after I did my technical analysis for the 2nd trade.
It was nearly spot on.

I only net $400 USD or so profit but look at the loss that was erased
by knowing what to do after the bad trade..

Because I try not to scalp, this way is more profitable for me..
(also I don't use SL in this account, so I trade smaller lots)
(my first goal: keep the account alive)

My average trade run: 24h/48h
I add trades if the trade is green
I add trades if the trade is red

=)

I'll try to carry positions / different crosses, in order to generate more

I try to trade:
0.5 lot - 1.0 lot per 1.000$ capital

edit: you can't get better on money management if you start with 1 mil $ =)
try to act realistic

(my start: 1.000$ normal market conditions, max 1:400 leverage)

My account got -1,000$ profit right now.

But I can generate %10-40 profit daily as long as I stay on the positive side in %40 of trades.

I will carry the - trade if I believe in a reversal.

I trade 1H, don't look for perfect entries, exits (because I add more trades as time passes)

I've been doing some blind trades, just to test my money management.
Opening more trades, setting more buy stop, stop limits...
Want it to go more red, I'll try to not lose this account.

Currently:
-$1.300 with %262 margin level
almost all trades in the minus (-) side.

If I can write profit, than I can test this strategy live...

edit: -$1.450 with %227 margin level
short XAU
short XAG
I can get caught in the shtstorm, will try to endure =)
