I traded the method this week. Here are a few thoughts.

Execution is key.
Sometimes price jumps 0.8 pips in 1 tick, sometimes more. Even if you are quick on the trigger or you put buy/sell stop orders, your broker will get you in at the price it can/wants which is sometimes 1 pip above/below your desired entry.

Spread is key.
anything above 1 pip spread is untradable as once you enter a trade, if spread is 1 pip, you only have 1 pip room left till your position SL gets hit.

1 VERY good thing about this method is that one can no longer blow an account on only 1 losing trade as SL is really set in stone!!

Hi guys,

My todays trades.

First one closed at BE+1, unfortunetly this +1 point closed my trade. As you all see it went up after hitting my Sl.

Second trade +22 points. Again and again trade closed to early. Oryginally TP was 1,3290, so 20 more pips.

Trades based on 10 pip 1 min candles, SL 5 points + spread.

Similar rules as presented in this thread.

Speculation is completely useless, charts analysing is scrap... it's all about money management and momentum
second
2-3 pips stop loss, Limit my loss quick help me reduce the emotional impact and help me trade with higher leverage
Cut Your Losses Short But Let Your Profits Run

third

move your stop at break even as fast as possible

fourth
wait for the momentum , big money to move the market.

Fifth
only trade tick,5 seconde, 1 minute chart.

My experience and this principles help me create my own profitable way to trade,

Now I'm working on an ea because I cannot stay in front of my computer anymore watching the marlet I hate that. I tried my new Ea today, it is better than me.. It was a good start. I don't use it in primary account yet I have some problems with the stop loss sometimes. I have to constantly monitor it

Nice London open, anyone in?

I almost cried today.

I don't know how to resist opening some random trades

It kills me, hope on forex market does not exist. And having hope while trading should be forbidden.

Today i took 3 shitty trades. One during BOE speach, and two after LO open.

Shiiit happens.

iam in on the eu long. took the direction of the first 1 minute candle at lo (8am). so long still running....

i think iam at +30 at the moment.

also took short gu at lo, got out with +20 before market reversed.

well, the system seems to be doing good for now. all the -2 pips -5 pips losses are all wiped out and long gone.

as regards to round numbers, not much you need to know apart from that price respects round numbers. so you can trade them as pivot points and tp levels.

well done, you have got the idea. 2-3 pips losses are small enough to keep your emotions in check and allow you to trade better.

OK, something to bring hope to our hearts.

I saw that Tony, owner of this thread used to play a lot on G/U in 2009, just studied attachments to this thread to learn more. And i must admit that G/U respect those huge candles. I think even better than E/U. First candle is almost 9 pips at 5 sec chart, just see what happend later.

I know that it;s just cherry picking, try to threat this chart as motivation

spread on gu is higher than eu. gu does not respect any more or less than eu, depends on state of affairs prevailing at the time.
