Hey, market will open in 30mins for me (my broker opens 1h early), so I already checked some pre-market quotes (I explained here how to get them for free ).

Looks we won't have any major gaps, most volatility I see is on the Pound, GU and GJ are almost breaking out Friday's closing price. Might be a good time to short.
Notice that shorting is much better than buying during high volatility (wide spread) periods, since the bid is drawing the price, you are not theoretically losing money on the spread by entering the trade (you'll cover later, with a smaller spread).
UPDATE:
Most Yen pairs are in breakout by a few pips. Possibility to take some small short positions.

PS:like always, check the Forex Factory calendar if there are any major upcoming news. I don't trade gaps if anything important is coming up on yen or aud !

Well gaps usually appear on sunday's open... if you see gaps during the week that means you have a pretty bad broker

But its not every sunday that has gaps, since they are an "irregularity" of the price, sometimes the market just open where it closed Friday.
If you aim for the stars- but miss, you still get the moon...

i don't think trading gap is a realiable way to make steady profit from forex because wide gaps rarely happen in the market

Gaps are actually the hardest thing to trade, they are too unpredictable and very very broker dependent. Ultimately gapping is entirely dependent on the broker Liquidity and the number of banks used in their price stream.
Just made my week's profit with UCHF in only 50 minutes.

Who was there 2 weeks ago? When there was BOJ talks about the next finance minister?

We had 200 pips gaps on the yen pairs... I never traded something that big before I believe.

i tradet them and made over 1000 pips, such gaps could be every sunday lol

I will be more cautious with the EUR of course, but with AUD CAD or even USD , if the technicals are nice, it can be a very good sunday!

I feel sorry for the Cypriots. Their government will be taking 10% from everyone's bank account (except those rich people who were pre-warned!) as a condition of the bailout.

can anyone tell me if all brokers open up trading on sunday at the same time?
If not do you know which ones open first?
Do all the metatraders for all the brokerages open up at the same time?

You can trade Oanda all weekend if you brave enough but the rest open when they want. In other words when they have figured out which way price is going.
